Switches & multiplexers | Analog switches & muxes | detail | TMUX7219M |
The TMUX7219M is a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) switch with latch-up immunity in a single channel, 2:1 (SPDT) configuration. The device works with a single supply (4.5 V to 44 V), dual supplies (±4.5 V to ±22 V), or asymmetric supplies (such as VDD = 12 V, VSS = –5 V). The TMUX7219M supports bidirectional analog and digital signals on the source (Sx) and drain (D) pins ranging from VSS to VDD. The TMUX7219M can be enabled or disabled by controlling the EN pin. When disabled, both signal path switches are off. When enabled, the SEL pin can be used to turn on signal path 1 (S1 to D) or signal path 2 (S2 to D). All logic control inputs support logic levels from 1.8 V to VDD, ensuring both TTL and CMOS logic compatibility when operating in the valid supply voltage range. Fail-Safe Logic circuitry allows voltages on the control pins to be applied before the supply pin, protecting the device from potential damage. The TMUX72xx family provides latch-up immunity, preventing undesirable high current events between parasitic structures within the device typically caused by overvoltage events. A latch-up condition typically continues until the power supply rails are turned off and can lead to device failure. The latch-up immunity feature allows the TMUX72xx family of switches and multiplexers to be used in harsh environments. Additionally, the TMUX7219M is rated for extended temperature use down to –55°C, making it ideal for harsh industrial and aerospace applications.

Switches & multiplexers | Digital demultiplexers & decoders | detail | SN74HCS137 |
The SN74HCS137 is a three to eight decoder with latched address inputs, one standard output strobe (G0), and one active low output strobe (G 1). When the latch enable (LE) input is low, the device acts as a standard three to eight decoder. When the latch enable (LE) input is high, the address latch retains its previous state. When the outputs are gated by either strobe input, they are all forced into the high state. When the outputs are not disabled by one or both of the strobe inputs, only the selected output is low while all others are high.

Switches & multiplexers | Digital multiplexers & encoders | detail | SN74HCS151 |
The SN74HCS151 is a data selector/multiplexer containing full binary decoding to select one of eight data sources and complementary outputs. The strobe (G) input must be at a low logic level to enable the inputs. A high level at the strobe terminal forces the W output high and the Y output low.

Switches & multiplexers | Power switches | detail | TPS22995H-Q1 |
The TPS22995H-Q1 is a single-channel load switch that contains a 16-mΩ N-channel MOSFET that can operate over an input voltage range of 0.8 V to 5.5 V and can support a maximum continuous current of 3 A. The switch is controlled by an on and off input (ON), which is capable of interfacing directly with low voltage GPIO signals. The TPS22995H-Q1 has a Quick Output Discharge when switch is turned off, pulling the output voltage down to a known 0-V state. Additionally, the devices provides an adjustable rise to limit inrush currents with high capacitive loads. The pins of the TPS22995H-Q1 are resistant to high humidity conditions, meaning that the device is able to function with a 100-kΩ short from any pin to GND or power. When the timing pin (RT) is affected by high humidity, timing is expected to stay within +/–20%. The TPS22995H-Q1 is available in a 2.8-mm × 2.9-mm, 0.5-mm pitch, 6-pin SOT package. The device is characterized for operation over the free-air temperature range of –40°C to +125°C.

Switches & multiplexers | eFuses & hot swap controllers | detail | TPS1641 |
The TPS1641x is an integrated eFuse with accurate power limit or current limit. The device provides robust protection with integrated overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, IN to OUT short detection and overtemperature protection. TPS16410, TPS16411 devices provide ±5% power limiting at 15 W for loads and it also provides configurable blanking time for transient overload or overcurrent events. TPS16410 and TPS16411 can be used for low power circuits (LPCs) for 15-W power limiting as per IEC60335 and UL60730 standards. TPS1641x devices provide protection from adjacent pin short and pin short to GND faults. Applications such as backplane power protection in PLC and DCS modules configure the current limit with resistor on the ILIM pin. TPS16412, TPS16413 devices provide ±5% current limiting at 1.8 A for loads and these devices also provide output slew rate control with dVdT pin to charge large capacitive loads at power up. TPS1641x features IN to OUT short detection. The device indicates IN to OUT short on the FLT pin. The FLT pin can be either provided to MCU as Digital Input or it can be used to drive an external PFET. The devices are characterized for operation over a junction temperature range of –40°C to +125°C.

Switches & multiplexers | High-side switches | detail | TPS272C45 |
The TPS272C45 is a dual-channel smart high-side switch designed to meet the requirements of industrial control systems. The low on-resistance (RDS(on) of 45 mΩ) minimizes device power dissipation driving a wide range (100 mA to 3 A) of output load current. The device provides an additional low voltage supply (3.3 V to 5 V) input pin to minimize no-load power dissipation. The device integrates protection features such as thermal shut down, output clamp, and overcurrent limit. These features improve system robustness during fault events such as short circuit. The TPS272C45 device implements an adjustable threshold current limiting circuit that improves the reliability of the system by reducing inrush current when driving large capacitive loads and minimizing overload current. The device also implements a configurable inrush current time period with a higher level of allowed current to drive high inrush current loads like lamps or for fast charging of capacitive loads. The device also provides an accurate load current sense that allows for improved load diagnostics enabling better predictive maintenance. The TPS272C45 device is available in a small 24-pin, 5 mm × 4 mm QFN leadless package with 0.5 mm pin pitch minimizing the PCB footprint.
